INCENTIVE TRIP
Arvidsjaur is located in the middle of the wide, white landscape of Swedish Lapland. In the small city around 110 km south of the Arctic Circle, winter and nature merge for about six months into a winter holiday wonderland. In addition to the approximately 7,500 inhabitants, about 20 Sami families, the so-called woodland Sami, live here from reindeer husbandry in their traditional manner. Here you will find a landscape of fascinating beauty with hundreds of lakes and enormous forests that transforms itself into an adventure and leisure time paradise with the first snow fall in October.

TRAVEL ITINERARY:
Friday: Meet at the airport, departure approximately10:30 am to Arvidsjaur. Arrival around 1:00 pm. At the airport in Arvidsjaur, everything is a bit smaller, quieter, cozier, and refreshingly straightforward. After landing, you go a few steps to the airport building. The customs formalities and baggage claim are concluded informally and, above all, stress free. You will find the bus waiting in front of the door that will take you directly to your hotel. Driving time to the hotel is approximately 1 hour. During the trip, you will receive the initial information about the country and its people with and English-speaking guide.
HOTEL STORFORSEN
The hotel is located directly at the foot of the Storforsen chute in Norrbotten. The hotel was built in unison with nature, thus with natural building materials; it gets its heat from the surrounding mountains and its cooling from the basis of the Pite river. The river water is also used to recharge the energy the hotel requires. The hotel has 70 comfortably and tastefully furnished rooms, most of which have a view of the Storforsen. Furthermore, the hotel has a nice restaurant, a bar, a pool with a sauna, and fitness equipment. Check into your room in the hotel.
You will find special outdoor winter clothing for excursions in your room. In the afternoon, there will be theoretical instruction on how to drive a snow mobile. You will have dinner in one of the hotel´s own typical Lapland cottages. Then off you go with the snow mobile through the snowy, white wilderness.
Saturday
After breakfast, your guide will be awaiting you for your day trip with the snow mobile. Participants will be divided in groups of 2 persons per snow mobile through the snowy winter landscape. You will meet for communal ice fishing and lunch at one of countless frozen lakes. The return trip with the snow mobiles is planned for the early afternoon. For dinner, you will be taken by horse-drawn carriage to a nature park where there will be a traditional fish dinner for you. There are several excursion variants possible for today:
Sunday - Driver safety training
After breakfast, you will take the bus approximately 80 km to the testing area. There are 15 various types of vehicles on 3 tracks where you have the opportunity to test your skill on ice and snow. There will be two persons per vehicle. Lunch will take place on the premises. After 5 hours of driver training, you will be take the bus back to the hotel.
OR: Snowshoe hiking / dog sled tour After breakfast, you have the opportunity to go on an approximately 2 hour snowshoe hike to the Storforsen chute. On the hike, your tour guide will give you background information from regarding the history and the developments of rafting timber. You will have lunch in the hotel. After lunch, you will take a 1-hour trial run with a dog sled team.
Monday
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time until departure. You have the opportunity to enjoy the indescribably beautiful natural surroundings in Swedish Lapland one more time. The return trip is planned by bus to the airport at approximately 11:30 am.
Return flight approximately 2.00 pm. Arrival in Hahn approximately 5.30 pm.
